Mary Ann McLaughlin is Managing Partner and co-owner of Butler Street Consulting, a process-driven, performance improvement consulting firm made up of executive operators. Butler Street designs and implements a system of reinforcing activities to perfect client and talent development.
Mary Ann spent the previous nine years as President and Chief Operating Officer of two national companies. Mary Ann was COO of Optimum Outcomes, a leading provider of revenue cycle services to hospitals and physician groups nationwide. At the helm of operations, Optimum Outcomes experienced a 63% compounded top line growth rate in the last two years and increased earnings fivefold over the same timeframe.
Prior to Optimum Outcomes, Mary Ann led operations for 53+ offices at Supplemental Health Care, Inc., one of the largest healthcare staffing companies in the United States. In less than five years, the company’s organic growth from $100 million in revenue to $221 million and quadrupled the EBITDA. Supplemental Health Care was recognized by Staffing Industry Analysts four years in a row as one of the fastest growing companies in health care staffing. During that time, Supplemental Health Care customers, employees and nurse and allied talent rewarded them with the highest engagement and Net Promoter Scores (NPS) in the industry.
Mary Ann also served as Managing Director of Operations for Randstad North America. She was responsible for designing and implementing a Strategic Account Organization which grew to $350 million in 2 years. Additionally, she was responsible for standardizing and implementing Randstad technology and training within the Franchise operations and the payroll division, which accounted for +$100 million in revenue to Randstad.
During Mary Ann’s career with the Standard Register Company, she was recognized for the highest achievement in sales and sales management 14 times, including 9 years in a row. As she grew with the organization, her role as a national account manager led to the design and implementation of a complete Business Process Outsourcing alliance with a leading dealer services organization. In that role, she hired, trained and led 60 sales representatives across the nation and utilizing six sigma processes, built a customer service and call center to support hundreds of calls and orders daily. Mary Ann was recognized for being in the top 1% of managers in the organization and was the highest-ranking female in operations when she became Area Vice President, a position that served on the executive leadership team.
Mary Ann has completed four marathons, most recently Chicago in 2015, and several triathlons. She holds B.S. Degree in Marketing from Bradley University.Additionally, Mary Ann chairs the foundation board of St. Joseph Hospital, in Chicago and leads a young professionals board for the system as well.
