Besides the obvious (meeting with the experts, networking, learning in a new environment, getting out of your comfort zone, etc.), the conference committee has been hard at work planning the breakout sessions for the 2016 Annual California Staffing Professionals Staffing & Recruiting Conference. This year’s Conference will be conducted at the Renaissance Indian Wells Resort & Spa from May 18th through May 21st
The 2016 conference planning committee has teamed up this year with Robin Dewey and the Labor Occupational Health Program (LOHP) aligned with the Worker Occupational Safety and Health Training and Education Program (WOSHTEP). WOSHTEP is a statewide effort aimed at reducing job-related injuries and illnesses among California workers. The program was created as part of workers’ compensation reform and is administered by California’s Commission on Health and Safety. Breakout participants will learn about the requirements of Cal/OSHA’s IIPP standard, particularly as it relates to dual employer situations. Participants will understand the reasons why temporary employees are at increased risk of work-related injury and explore strategies for addressing this problem. Robin and Cal/OSHA Consultation Services will conduct the IIPP breakout session and answer any questions you may have to ensure compliance with IIPP requirements.
This years’ staffing & recruiting conference is jam-packed with top notch panels and breakouts. We hope to see you in attendance.
